Dr. Cecott graduated from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She completed a one year internship at The Central Hospital for Veterinary Care in New Haven Connecticut. After completing the internship, she returned to the Chicagoland area and worked as an associate at three different small animal clinics. She has now opened her own clinic as the primary veterinarian. She enjoys working with all animals and the people who love them.

The staff at the Veterinary Clinic of Tinley Park is patient and understanding with clients and pets. The staff is also very knowledgeable in veterinary science.

What does the senior wellness program consist of?

Doctor’s Exam - The first, most significant step that points out the obvious, such as dental disease, weight gain, or weight loss. The owners take part in this with any noticed changes in their pets’ behavior, and eating or drinking habits.
CBC (complete blood count) – This detects anemia or any infection.
Blood chemistry – A way to ensure that internal organs, such as liver and kidneys are functioning normal. Also to diagnose diabetes.
Urinalysis – Diagnose urinary tract infections, and further kidney diagnostics.
T4 ( thyroid level) To diagnose thyroid disease, a common treatable disease in older cats and dogs
Radiographs – To get a visual of major organs; heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver.
