Senior Wellness Program

As your pet gets older, their organs may start to decline and not function as they should. There is no way to prevent this, but there can be ways to slow down the progression of most diseases. This is possible because of senior testing.

Why is senior testing important?

To make sure your pet is healthy
Early detection of any disease
To start treatment, or change of diets if any disease is detected
Reduce Medical cost
Proper nutrition and supplements
Most important, add years to your companion’s life
What does the senior wellness program consist of?

Doctor’s Exam - The first, most significant step that points out the obvious, such as dental disease, weight gain, or weight loss. The owners take part in this with any noticed changes in their pets’ behavior, and eating or drinking habits.
CBC (complete blood count) – This detects anemia or any infection.
Blood chemistry – A way to ensure that internal organs, such as liver and kidneys are functioning normal. Also to diagnose diabetes.
Urinalysis – Diagnose urinary tract infections, and further kidney diagnostics.
T4 ( thyroid level) To diagnose thyroid disease, a common treatable disease in older cats and dogs
Radiographs – To get a visual of major organs; heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver.
